About the Author
E.N. (Edmund Nathaniel) Richardson (called Ned) was born in New York.

Growing up with very loving and caring parents and with his younger sister Catherine (called Caty), the family was quite poor and struggled with several financial setbacks.

Only 13 years old, Ned had a clear vision for his life - one day he would be able to help his parents out financially and develop a better future for his family and himself. At this age one of his teachers gave him a book - and this book simply CHANGED HIS LIFE!
It was a book about self help and positive thinking and the effect and great impact that 'thinking the right way' can have on your self-development and future. From this point until today E.N. Richardson was addicted to the idea of improving his skills: "Change and better Yourself - and your Surroundings and Future will change Likewise!" is the essence of all his doing.
35 years later, successful in his job with a wife and a 14 year old son, he has decided that it would be great to share all the knowledge and experience he had gained and help others. Communication is very important in all aspects of life, whether be in a relationship, in workplace or dealing with friends is it is essential how you perceived what you want to say or express what you feel inside you. This book provided proven steps, tips and strategies on how to communicate effectively too help in boosting your success rate in life. Aside from the tips provided on enhancing more your communication skill it also discussed the barriers and how it can be prevented in conveying yourself to others. It even tackled steps on how to boost your confidence when talking which for myself I am having a struggle with. All in all the book is very informative on giving out all the information vital to communication, building rapport, being motivated and practicing what has been said will definitely take a speaker or communicator one step ahead of any argument thus it does open doors to understand not only ourselves, who you're talking to but also the world we live in.

This is a very elaborate book on communication which covers almost every aspect of human life wherever a common man feels the need of good communication skills. The book rightly describes the situations wherever we feel puzzled and usually feel embarrassed. After creating the similar situations the book guides on how to prepare ourselves to avoid such situations. There is a detailed description of listening skills, which we generally take lightly during our discussions and do not consider a requirement for good communication. But this book has tried to clarify most of the common misconceptions related to communication. This book really gives courage and desire to communicate with the world without fear and openly.

Nice songs, mediocre binding

This book has a nice collection of songs. However, it is "perfect bound" and does not like to stay open (when you try to open it and put it on a table to work from). I also bought the book "A Dulcimer Christmas" from the same company. That book is bound in the traditional way, and will stay open. I would have given it a five based on the song collection and the clarity of the tablature. I guess if I had a music stand with props to keep the book open I would find it more useful.

If you are a beginner and looking for guidance on embarking on a new instrument

I am enjoying this book, it has notes, tabulation and chords.
Being a classically trained string musician, I found this book to
be one that helped to guide me thru learning some wonderful music
pain free. I do need a 6+ fret so I am a little limited, but overall I have had a great time with the songs that would work on my dulcimer. I recommend this book.
