Special wisdom!

Thank you Dmitriy for all the work you have done to open the ancient slavic wisdom to the western (english-speaking) world. Every book reveals concealed treasuries, that are important for understanding ourselves, our lifes - where we come from and where we can aim for because of our ancestry. Dmitriy's diction is easy to understand also for non-native speakers!
This is not a book for beginners, but people that want to dive in deeper in all slavic knowledge will be happy for Dmitriys translation and interpretation!

Igor Milovanovic

Igor Milovanovic is an experienced developer, with strong background in Linux system knowledge and software engineering education, he is skilled in building scalable data-driven distributed software rich systems. Evangelist for high-quality systems design who holds strong interests in software architecture and development methodologies, Igor is always persistent on advocating methodologies which promote high-quality software, such as test-driven development, one-step builds and continuous integration. He also possesses solid knowledge of product development. Having field experience and official training, he is capable of transferring knowledge and communication flow from business to developers and vice versa. Igor is most grateful to his girlfriend for letting him spent hours on the work instead with her and being avid listener to his endless book monologues. He thanks his brother for being the strongest supporter. He is thankful to his parents to let him develop in various ways and become a person he is today.

Dimitry Foures

Dimitry Foures is a data scientist with a background in applied mathematics and theoretical physics. After completing his undergraduate studies in physics at ENS Lyon (France), he studied fluid mechanics at Ecole Polytechnique in Paris where he obtained a first class master's. He holds a PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Cambridge. He currently works as a data scientist for a smart-energy startup in Cambridge, in close collaboration with the university.

Giuseppe Vettigli

Giuseppe Vettigli is a data scientist who has worked in the research industry and academia for many years. His work is focused on the development of machine learning models and applications to use information from structured and unstructured data. A good guide to get the basics right in visualisation in Python

What I liked about this book was that it gives clear and short examples of various visualization techniques in Python. It dives right in without much fluff, while it is still easy to follow.

A strong point is the second chapter which shows how to import and prepare various types of input data.

The book focusses mostly on statistical type visuals such as bars and histograms. I expected the book to cover a larger number of visuals and go beyond the basic statistical visuals. For example, I hoped it would also discuss heatmaps, network graphs, treemaps and starplots.

The book discusses a number of Python frameworks, but could have included some more for example Bokeh or Python-Igraph.

What it discusses, it discusses well. Therefore I give it four stars.

This is a great book!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my review. I think this is a great book. The examples for the different plotting methods and customizations all worked. The first chapter describe set-up and code samples for using data in different formats. I remember when I was first given the task to add a chart to a report to represent data and how it took me a minute to ensure I was doing things correctly. This book would helped me a great deal at that time. Many questions I had previously about plotting and correctly coding solutions for charts I haven't been asked to make yet, were answered. I have been creating reports and charts for a University Research team and this book has been a godsend. I think this book would have helped me when I was working using java for reports and charts. I just this is a great book.

It presents not a mere description of Python packages and commands related to visualization, but embeds these tools into real-world scenarios. Not only visualization itself but also data manipulation enabling insightful visualization are discussed in detail. Needless to say, the discussion of every topic is accompanied by ready-to-use Python code.

I get everything I see by this author. It's a narrated DnD game - the way people actually play, not the way they fantasize about playing. If you play, these books are hilarious. If you don't, they might be a bit confusing.

Enjoyable laddish humour

I read this short story Guts and Volts by Robert Bevan although I'm pretty certain that I am not Mr Bevan’s target audience having never played on any sort of gaming platform thingy. I have nothing against them, I’m just not interested. I’m also fairly convinced that I haven’t read anything set in the gaming world and wouldn’t be his typical reader. Undeterred however, I live by the mantra that I will try anything once and have rarely found this attitude to be a mistake. (Well we all know there have been occasions but this is neither the time nor place.) Anyway on this occasion I was to be pleasantly surprised. Although I do have one of his novels on my kindle as I’ve said before a short story is ideal for getting the feel of an author…ahem…so I decided to read this one, Guts and Volts, that arrived in my inbox via a newsletter, that I signed up to because I like reading Bevan’s blog and enjoy his posts.

Dave, my favourite, Julian, Tim and Cooper travel to a house to answer an advert ‘Wanted: Volunteer for magical experimentation. Subject will be rewarded handsomely.’ Dave is less than keen with the plan and as it turns out has good reason as they are faced with a Frankenstein type scenario.

It’s difficult to write anything too in depth about a short story but I shall do what I can. Okay so there are some references to game things – skills acquired and such like but they didn’t interrupt the story telling for me at all. There is a lot of laddish humour which I like but if you are offended by bad language and generally crude behaviour then this is not for you. I particularly liked the set up with the banter between the characters and I guess the only downside for me was that it finished far too soon, which is a good thing, right? Wanting more, always a good thing – so it’s just as well I have that novel of his.

Fart jokes, pissing on random creatures and a surprising amount of slaughtering of the equine this author still has me rolling off my chair with each short story. Just hit buy already

I support local authors, which is why I bought this book. Guess what, the reputable and factual best-selling authors mentioned in the Book Writing Bible description as contributors - are MIA. I realized almost instantly that two women who claim to be HOT and know the ropes when it comes to writing, are unethically attempting to scam readers for money. Both brag about their ability to make you a best seller, however check Amazon for their former book rankings and you'll see they are in the crapper. Far from the Top 100 & some rank in the high thousands and some in the millions. Now 1,000,000 is far from #1. The authors' bios seem to say it all. Not only are they riddled with typos and grammatical errors, they are ads for the authors' (unrelated) businesses, such as vacation villas. So these two "authors" transcribed podcasts (with typos) and popped them into a book. According to the other reviews, they did this without the knowledge of the people they interviewed. (You know, the people who are actual authors.) At best, this needs to be classified as fiction, or maybe used as a huge example of what not to do. Very disappointing, not to mention shameful! What a terrible way to shame the credibility of all Indie authors.

I love these books. Im sorry this review came late but I love your books and I know more people like them as well. I think this might be the best minecraft book of the year. Maybe not book but series. However there are still more books out in the world so keep on trying to get people to read your books. In book 7 can you mention what day that you think the next book will come out to give us a heads up on when to try to find book 8 on amazon. tell us when you think the date of the next. Also I dont know if you'll write 8 but just keep up the great work. my name is Dante not Diana. Me and my mom share kindle unlimited. Last thing steve needs a girlfriend like badly. Steve the noob is a funny character, and hard not to read about. I was reading this book in bed with my little brother, and when I came to the funny parts like when Steve eats a slimeball, WitherHerobrine(brother) would ask me what was so funny. I would answer "just another great book by Steve The Noob. :):):):) FROM:RainbowCreeper:)

P.S I used The name Eli the Explorer a few weeks after I read 5 for the 17th time, And I had a good giggle after I red the book(5) the same day I had started with the book

this is a great place to start

This book presumes no prior knowledge of an object-oriented language. Apple is currently on Swift 2.2, which is not code-compatible with the programs in this, or any other text, published before March of 2016. However, I have tested the latest code which is available for free on the publisher's website. Though the code in the Kindle edition and print edition are now obsolete, the code on the supporting website is current.

This book covers "Playgrounds" and does not venture into IOS programming If you are a beginner, this is a great place to start.

This book is easy to use for everyone. I've been using this book on and off for a year while living in Italy and slowly i can find that I am understanding most of conversations. That seem like a lot, and this book is sufficient for learning a new language.

Simple and effective for a visitor to Italy. If you want to learn this language quickly and do not have much time then do read this book once. I was traveling to Italy and just read this book twice while in plane. I grabbed most words easily.
